⚠ INSURANCE ALERT: If suppression requirements are not met and a fire occurs, you will be viewed as negligent and your insurance carrier will not cover the damage.
Inspection Schedule & Documentation Requirements
- ▸Fire detectors + releasing devices
- ▸Agent containers (weight/pressure)
- ▸Piping, hose assemblies, nozzles
- ▸Fusible links — replace semiannually
- ▸Auxiliary equipment + signals

- ▸Gauges + flow switches (quarterly)
- ▸Control valves (weekly/monthly)
- ▸Water supply test (annual)
- ▸Internal inspection (5-year)
- ▸Obstruction investigation (5-year)
- ▸Agent cylinder weight / pressure
- ▸Nozzle condition and placement
- ▸Detection and control panel
- ▸Manual release stations
- ▸Room integrity (door seal test)

- ▸Enclosure integrity check
Both NFPA 96 and state fire codes require exhaust system cleanings to be recorded. Records must include extent, date, contractor credentials, and areas not accessible.
Missing documentation = failed AHJ inspection = closed building. Insurance carriers treat absent records as negligence.
